We are fed up with unhealthy animal products with false promises and terrible ecological footprints!

As dog lovers and entrepreneurs, we have only one choice: to do better! The truth is: The nutrition of our animal companions has an enormous ecological impact. In Germany, dog food sales exceed 500 million euros annually – and the meat industry profits greatly from a high meat content in dog food, even though dogs don't need it for their health. An average 15-kilogram dog produces around 630 kilograms of CO₂ annually when fed a conventional diet. Over 13 years, that adds up to a whopping 8.2 tons!

But many large pet food manufacturers pay little attention to sustainability. During our search for environmentally friendly packaging, it quickly became clear to us that many use so-called monolayer packaging – paper on the outside, plastic on the inside. The problem? After use, the materials are almost impossible to separate, making sustainable reuse impossible. At the same time, this packaging gives the impression of being more environmentally friendly than it actually is.

That wasn't an option for us.

Too much meat, too little sustainability.

Dog food often contains significantly more animal protein than the dog actually needs. The trend is toward "lots of meat, lots of offal, no carbohydrates." But our four-legged friends need far less protein than most people think. Cutting down on meat would reduce meat consumption by pets—with a positive impact on overall demand. In addition, many protein sources are produced abroad and transported through long supply chains before they reach the shelves. All of this not only harms the environment but also the health of our dogs.

We stand for true transparency, both in our packaging and in our ingredients and compositions.
